BlackCat Skateboard Press is a local skateboard building operation based in Cumberland, BC.
Decks are built using Northern Ontario hard-rock maple veneers, old-school hopper roller based glue up methods, a hand operated hydraulic jack press that pushes precision CNC molds in a custom built steel press in order to produce a classic, simple and sturdy skateboard deck.
These decks are cold pressed for 36hrs before curing for up to 2 weeks. Boards are then cut and shaped using a series of drilling jigs, routers and sanding tools before final hand sanding and graphics are applied.
Graphics are applied via block prints before final clear coats are added. Every board is then sealed for freshness.
